Sneak Peek: Rothy's Camo Sneakers - A New Trio Release Coming Soon?

Rothy's new arrivals drop down menu is featuring what appears to be a sneak peek at the upcoming sand or neutral camo sneaker.

This comes just days after Rothy's posted this Instagram teaser...

This leaves us wondering if these will be released tomorrow (January 4th) or sometime very soon thereafter? This could make some sense considering only one new sneaker was released this last go-around on December 31st.

Furthermore, the handle to the image is called SneakTrioNav.jpg and there were three sneakers featured in the instagram post above - hence the "trio" image handle.

Looking  a little closer, it seems the first pair (above) could be a navy blue and black camo sneaker.

The next pair would be the sand / neutral sneaker (as seen below/left) and in Rothy's new navigation image (as seen at the top of this post). Lastly, the third of the trio would be the dark grey camo sneakers (below/right).

This would mark the first camo print sneaker release from Rothy's as the camo has already been produced in other styles such as the point, flat and loafer.

Are you excited for release of these new camo sneakers? How long have you been waiting for a camo print sneaker? Which of the three new colors are you liking best?

Rothy's New Year's Eve Sneak Peek Releases: Let's Talk Inventory!

Numbers, especially when it comes to Rothy's, is quite interesting. When they re-released the Orchid Points, the initial inventory release number was 500+, at least in the central sizes. It looks like with the sneak peeks today, the release numbers were 200 or less per style and size.

Of course, this doesn't necessarily mean Rothy's doesn't have more inventory sitting in the sidelines waiting to be added to their available inventory online. It's just interesting to see how they go about their initial release numbers on their site on launch days.

It's also a possibility that they are planning on adding more over the next couple days when these styles are listed on their main style pages and not just as a sneak peek / secret early release, but if you have an eye on a certain pair and size, I wouldn't wait around just in case this doesn't occur.

Here are the current approximate inventory numbers currently accounted for in each style as of approximately 4pm PST on 12/31/18:

Grey Stone Snake Sneaker:
Size 5 - 30 // Size 5.5 - 30 // Size 6 - 25 // Size 6.5 - 41  // Size 7 - 67 // Size 7.5 - 96  // Size 8 - 137 // Size 8.5 - 134 // Size 9 - 112 // Size 9.5 - 66 // Size 10 - 67 // Size 10.5 - 45 // Size 11 - 24 // Size 11.5 - 30 // Size 12 - 28

Takeaway: If we're assuming the starting numbers were the same for each style and size, the most popular of the points seems to be the Poseidon Blue at this point. Fern would appear to be the most popular for the flats. The Ivory Grey Snake Loafers would be the clear winner of the two Loafers, and there is no information to compare the Sneakers to at this time. However, the sneakers seem to be selling well if you compare their numbers to the other styles and similar sizes.

Here's a screenshot of their sitemap update this morning reflecting these 10 new hidden styles...

I'll be adding these new styles to The Rothary Glossary shortly: https://rothysgonewild.blogspot.com/p/the-rothary-glossary-rothy-images.html

While I'm partial to the points, I'm REALLY loving the Ivory Grey Loafer, and I'm not even sure if I'm a loafer fan or not yet (honestly I've not yet tried them). I just feel like the color would be super versatile. Of course, I do wish they had the ivory grey in the points though. I'd be all over that! It would be even better if they were to release a Girls' loafer in the Ivory Grey to match.

If Rothy's came out with a Girls' Loafer in Ivory Grey, would you purchase both for you and your daughter(s)?

Overall, I'm still undecided on which points I'll be purchasing. The snake print is different, but in reality, I'm trying to figure out if I want them just because they're different vs. just how practical they'll fit in with my wardrobe - which is really hard to differentiate.

Which new styles and colors/prints will you be ordering? What is your overall take on the new snake prints and the three new solids? Buy them or leave them?

Rothy's New Limited Edition Iridescent Collection |
2018 Black Friday Release

It's fascinating just how fast some of the styles from Rothy's new Iridescent collection is selling out. I had originally been on the fence about them only because the hot pink stripe struck me as more of a summer accent. However (and justifiably) summer will technically be here again in a flash. Couple that with the fact that they're Limited Edition and Rothy's said once this batch is sold, it's gone for good - making the ante of this release just a little bit higher. But what really got me was just how FAST The Iridescent Point sizes are selling out.

Rothy's released the Iridescents without warning in their Facebook shop late Wednesday night. As of yesterday, one size was completely sold out and starting this morning (Black Friday), all the upper sizes started selling out one by one down the line.

Intrigued by this, I put a bunch of the next highest size available in my cart and literally saw the number starting in the teens go down with each minute that passed and with every refresh of my browser. They were LITERALLY selling a pair or more every single minute (at least in the size I was scoping out). And in no time at all, they were sold out. Gone.

Kinda makes me wonder how many people are buying them for themselves vs. those who may be purchasing them to re-sell knowing just how limited of a release this is. Regardless, Rothy's doesn't seem to be messing around with the rare availability of these.

If you were on the fence like I originally was, I'd suggest going for them before the option is literally....gone in a flash.
